In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Breakfast praised by many guests — Continental-style breakfast with a wide range of options, including a coffee machine and scrambled eggs, consistently called out in reviews.
  • Location close to Central Station — Within walking distance of Milan Central Station and metro stops, making it easy to explore the city or catch a train.
  • Comfortable, well-equipped rooms — Guests note firm mattresses, sizable bathrooms, and soundproofing — several commented on how quiet the rooms are.
  • Helpful and polite staff — Multiple reviewers mention the staff being friendly and accommodating, even under pressure.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Review score dips on rooms and cleanliness — Rated 7 out of 10 on rooms and cleanliness, below other categories. Some guests may find the decor old-fashioned or maintenance inconsistent.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel policy explicitly disallows pets, so travellers with animals will need to look elsewhere.
  • Check-in limited to 15:00–23:00 — If you arrive outside these hours, you'll need to make other arrangements — the 24-hour reception can't override the check-in window.
  • Bar prices on the higher side — While typical for central Milan, the bar is noted as expensive by at least one guest, so budget accordingly.

8.3Verified guest

“A beautiful, grand hotel with old-world charm and elegance. Rooms were spotless, well-equipped with shower, bath, and very comfortable beds. Walking distance to metro and Milan Central Station. Breakfast had plenty of choice despite being continental. The bar was pricey, though no more than other central Milan spots, and featured a live jazz pianist several nights a week. Staff were extremely polite and helpful, even with some rude customers. Would definitely return.”

8.3Verified guest

“Easy to find thanks to the large sign, once you head the right way from the station. Breakfast was great, and the beds were so comfortable we both slept in.”
